Paris Club food photography
As much as I LOVE shooting people and events, it is also exhilarating to being surrounded by beautiful food. There's so much to work with and fun to be in control of the aesthetic. Today I shot some promotional photos for Paris Club. The food here is beautiful, thoughtful and delicious. See for yourself:
Charcuterie board for two: pâtés, terrines and saucissons.
Tuna tartare française.

Paris Club Soft Open
Paris Club is almost ready to open its doors for everyone, but first the staff does a few practice parties for friends and family. They gather feedback from the guests and iron out any last minute changes before the big reveal on February 9. The whole restaurant smelled like melted butter and herbs, and it was easy to feel hungry. The crowd was at ease and enjoying themselves, sipping French wine and watching their food arrive hot from the kitchen. If you're looking for a great new Chicago restaurant to try, don't hesitate to drop by — it's an amazing space with a fantastic menu.

Preparing for the Blizzard
Happy winter! I'm excited to watch the blizzard develop from the comfort of my kitchen today. I stocked up on groceries before the storm hit, and tonight I'm making slow roasted beef short ribs. For the recipe, visit The Pioneer Woman Cooks. I can only guess how delicious these are going to be in a couple hours, when they're dripping off the bone.
Everyone, stay safe and warm! And if you're in a rut about what to eat tonight, come over.
