A Worker and Her Hands

We were assigned to go out on the town and find someone who does some sort of manual labor and make a portrait and detail shot of their hands. I wandered into an escavation in the city center in Arhus where archeologists are digging for viking remains. The light in there was beautiful, as it was covered by a huge white tent.





Camilla Bjarnø is part of a team of archeologists working for the city of Aarhus to escavate Viking artifacts in the center of town where the Vikings are believed to have settled.

Flash Portraits of Valentina

For this assignment, I had to shoot a portrait with fill flash, using the sunlight as the main light source.



And for this, I used the flash as the main light source and underexposed the background.

I went out to take pictures with flash...

but natural light is so much better!
