I photographed Girl Talk my freshman year at the University and had the opportunity to shoot it again this Wednesday. I will say that the crowd, the atmosphere and the scene changed tremendously over that time. When he played at Mojo's, it was also sold out, but the crowd was full of totally dedicated fans, sweating their faces off and dancing. This time at the Blue Note, it seemed to almost be a costume party for many. Sorority sisters dressed in neon and sun dresses surrounded Greg Gillis throughout the show, pointing to their friends in the front row.
Gillis puts on an amazing show- so full of energy and moving from beat to beat seamlessly.
Front-row fans get a leaf blower pointed in their faces by a member of Girl Talk's stage crew during his sold out show at the Blue Note on May 5.
David Wilson, co-director of True/False Film Festival, dances on stage at the Girl Talk concert at The Blue Note on May 5. Wilson has long been a fan of Girl Talk, who played the film festival in 2006.

Cycle Recycle in Columbia
Two-year-old Mattias Keller rides his new bike with help from his mother Diana Keller at the Cycle Recycle on Sunday May 2, 2010 at the Get About Columbia office. The event provided free bikes to more than 70 people as part of the Bike, Walk & Wheel Week 2010.
Alaina Shettlesworth, 4, helps arrange the children's bikes to be given away at the Cycle Recycle on Sunday May 2, 2010 outside the Get About Columbia office. The yearly event promotes cycling by refurbishing and distributing dozens of bikes to the community.
