Last week of Internship at Common Threads

I've been working at a wonderful non-profit, Common Threads, for 6 weeks now. It's nearly over and I'm sad say goodbye. I feel like I haven't updated you guys much on what I do here, but I'd like to share some of my favorite photos from camp. Alekka and Tony's Engagement

Congratulations to my wonderful coworker Chef Alekka and her fiance Tony on their upcoming wedding!

Lula Cafe in Logan Square, Chicago

Lula cafe is a cozy, beautiful celebration of organic cooking and seasonal ingredients. The restaurant was packed and created an environment that fostered a community appreciation of excellent cooking and service. The food is affordable and chic. I was giddy by dessert.



Moroccan chickpea sweet potato tagine with arugula, saigon cinnamon, and couscous.



Pan seared scallops with patty pan squash, cauliflower, basil, taleggio butter, and cherry brown butter vinaigrette.







Vanilla bean panna cotta with summer fruits and cardamom sugar cookie.



Praline and riccotta ice creams with a yellow fig sorbet. Almond cake.

An Olafur Eliasson exhibit at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago.





The exhibit included an entire wall covered in this slightly fragrant moss. Beautiful!
